Dealing with time zone conversions (C++ / Boost)

Recently I was tasked with writing some code to convert between arbitrary time zones. I did some research and there are a few good libraries out there for C++ that make this task easy. I decided out implementation would use boost. We already use boost to handle various other things within our code base and some of the other solutions I found would require introducing some new dependencies I wasn’t comfortable with for this particular project.

Slug Chronicles : Update 1 (Main Menu Phase 1)

Quick video I made using ScreenFlow for Mac of my current game Slug Chronicles. This video shows phase 1 of the menu screen it includes character creation and a basic options screen.

 

Slug Chronicles will be available for Mobile and Desktop.

Roguelike meet bullet hell

Working on this roguelike and thinking about Galactic Run has given me a crazy idea? What if I where to mix the two, a bullet hell roguelike? It could work if I can get the track generation to be interesting enough and convey a “random dungeon” type feel with different paths etc… Read more »

Galactic Run submitted to Apple.

Galactic Run has been submitted to apple. I finished up Game Center integration which… thanks to Unity3D was a breeze. Also, to all you android users out there, the Galactic Run demo is available. Search the google play store for Galactic Run Time Trial and you will get 70 seconds to post your best high score. Good Luck!
